According to Hollywood Reporter, Stevenson’s representative, Nicki Fioravante, confirmed that the actor died on May 21 while filming the movie Cassino on Ischia.

Stevenson is famous for his role as Volstagg in the `Thor` film series.

In April, the actor attended the Star Wars brand celebration in London and said he was excited to appear in the Ahsoka TV series released on August 31.

Stevenson is known to audiences for his role as soldier Titus Pullo in the HBO series Rome.

The actor entered the Marvel universe in 2011 when he played the character Volstagg – a member of the Warriors Three group and a comrade of the god of thunder Thor.
